Add Newznab Indexers

Adding Your First Newznab Indexer

Screenshot of device

  1. Log into the Newznab-compatible indexer that you wish to add to NZBClient. Find your API Key and their API address; this information is usually located in the account section of their website.

  2. Open the app and navigate to the Search tab, then tap on "Add Indexer."

  3. Using the settings provided by your Newznab-compatible indexer, fill in the Host. Do not enter http:// or https:// as NZBClient will handle that for you.

  4. Copy your API key into the API Key field. Some indexers provide a QR code of your API Key; press the QR code button to open the QR code reader.

  5. If your indexer does not use HTTPS, you can switch off "Use HTTPS."

  6. Finally, press save to add your indexer.

Note: Your indexer's host/domain may be different from their main domain (e.g., mynewznabindexer.com vs. api.mynewznabindexer.com). Please check their documentation for the exact address you need to use here.

Adding Additional Indexers

Once you have added your first indexer, the "Add Indexer" button will disappear, allowing you to begin searching. If you would like to add additional indexers, tap the edit button in the top right corner of the search page to open the indexer edit menu. In the Indexer edit menu, tap the plus button in the top right corner and follow the steps above to add another indexer. Premium and Ultra users can add as many indexers as they like.

Editing Indexers

At any time, if you need to edit an indexer, change default, or change the order of indexers, tap the edit button in the top right corner of the search page to open the indexer edit menu. If you only need to edit or delete one indexer, tap the three-dot menu for that indexer and pick edit or delete. Tapping the "Edit" button in the top right corner will allow you to change the order of indexers or delete several indexers.

Default Indexers

You can set any indexer as a default using the edit menu by tapping the three-dot menu for that indexer and picking "Set Default". Default indexers will be the first indexer chosen when searching if none are selected. Default indexers can be identified by the 👑 image next to their name.
